During checkout, a customer receives the error This account cannot make live charges.
Environment
Platform: Cross-platform
This issue can occur on all platforms with any store using Stripe as their payment processor.
Resolution
This message is generated by Stripe. The message appears for one of two reasons.
- Either the Stripe account connected is still in test mode and needs to be switched to live mode in Stripe's dashboard
- Stripe has the account under review due to risk factors or business verification steps.
You can contact Stripe who can identify the issue for this error message.
