Resolution
This error occurs when you hit the maximum number of transactions per second allowed by the Recharge API or Shopify API.
Shopify has different rate limits depending on the Shopify plan you are on. The best way to resolve the 429 error is to upgrade your account with Shopify to Shopify Plus. The Shopify Plus program increases the bandwidth for API calls and is a long-term resolution for this issue. Contact Shopify Support for more information on the Plus program.
If you are not in a position to upgrade to Shopify Plus, contact the Recharge Support team to discuss other options to manage your order processing.
