BigCommerce Checkout Integration feature status
With the BigCommerce Checkout Integration, BigCommerce merchants can use Recharge for customer and subscription management while providing a unified checkout experience for their customers with BigCommerce's native checkout.
This guide outlines eligibility requirements and limitations for using the BigCommerce Checkout Integration and available features.

Store conversion eligibility requirements
Note: By default, stores installing Recharge for the first time after April 3rd, 2023 use the BigCommerce Checkout Integration. This section applies to Recharge Checkout on BigCommerce stores wishing to convert to the BigCommerce Checkout Integration.
You cannot use Multi-Storefront (MSF) to use the BigCommerce Checkout Integration.
Eligible payment processors
The following payment processors are compatible with the BigCommerce Checkout Integration at this time. Additional payment processors are planned for future compatibility:

Refunds |
Refunds and cancellations on any subscription order must be issued in Recharge. Once refunded in Recharge, the refund syncs to BigCommerce. If the refund is issued on BigCommerce, the payment will not be refunded and the status will not sync to Recharge. |
BigCommerce, price, weight adjusting, and required modifiers |
Modifiers are only supported in checkout. They are not supported in the customer portal when a customer adds or swaps a product. |
Highly customized frontend themes |
Some customized front-end themes may not be compatible out of the box. |
Amazon Pay |
Supported for one-time purchases. Not supported for recurring subscription purchases at this time. Recharge hides Amazon Pay as an option automatically when a customer purchases a subscription. |
Venmo |
Supported for one-time purchases. Not supported for recurring subscription purchases at this time. Recharge hides Venmo as an option automatically when a customer purchases a subscription. |
Multiple shipping addresses |
Not supported at this time. One-time purchases can be shipped to multiple shipping addresses but Recharge subscription orders can only have one shipping address per order. |
BigCommerce Gift Certificates |
BigCommerce Gift Certificates can be purchased and redeemed during checkout. |
BigCommerce store credit can be used during checkout but not for recurring orders. |

Required modifiers |
Required modifiers are supported in the checkout and in the merchant portal add/swap. Required modifiers are not supported in the customer portal |
Non-compatible features
Due to limitations with recurring orders, some features are incompatible at this time. In some cases, workarounds and alternative methods are provided as possible solutions.

Product and cart-level automatic promotions and coupons are only applied to the initial order, but they are not applied to recurring orders. As a workaround, use Price List discounts. Price List discounts are applied to both initial and recurring orders. |
Native address validation |
BigCommerce does not natively validate addresses at checkout. If an order is created with an invalid address, the checkout order will fail. See Installation and store configuration for more details of third-party solutions. |
