Why are my price-based rates coming through incorrectly for my orders?

This is applicable for merchants who have converted to the Shopify Checkout Integration and have pre-existing customers whose shipping is managed through Recharge. See Shopify Checkout Integration technical details and requirements for further information.
Price-based rates are supported on the Shopify Checkout Integration and through Recharge Zones and Rates for the Recharge Checkout on BigCommerce.
If you use basic shipping settings, where shipping rates are imported from Shopify, price-based rates are not recommended.
The Shopify API that supplies the shipping rates uses the original variant price when calculating the shipping rate. If the price of a customer's product is manually changed in the merchant portal, or a discount is added, the shipping rate is still based on the original product price.
Consider using Recharge Zones and Rates instead of relying on Shopify rates for your subscriptions.
