Customers phone number cannot be added in RechargeSMS

Issue
Error appears when adding a customer’s phone number in RechargeSMS. Unreachable by SMS, and phone error: "Phone is invalid" may also be shown.

Resolution
The SMS opt-in widget needs to be set up in order for customers to update their phone number with RechargeSMS.
Customers must directly opt-in to receive SMS messages, phone numbers cannot be added for the customer. To resolve, instruct the customer to opt-in following the opt-in method used for your Recharge platform.
The opt-in widget is either available in the checkout flow or on a landing page, if you have a landing page opt-in widget enabled. The landing page opt-in is recommended in this situation so customers do not need to go through checkout again.
Check from the RechargeSMS My Shop page, and locate the Opt-in Tools to confirm if the landing page opt-in is enabled in your settings.
