Adjust your order processing time
Recharge can adjust when your store begins processing recurring orders to better align with your business hours or local time zone.
This guide explains how order processing works and how to request a different processing time.
Before you start
By default, Recharge begins processing recurring subscription charges between 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM Eastern Time (ET) on the scheduled charge date.
Prepaid shipments are processed separately from recurring subscription orders but use the same default processing window.
If a payment fails, Recharge retries the charge according to your automatic retry settings at 4:00 PM ET on the scheduled retry date.
Step 1 - Determine your preferred processing time
Determine when you want Recharge to begin processing your recurring orders.
Recharge recommends using a time zone conversion tool to determine the corresponding Eastern Time (ET).
Step 2 - Contact Recharge Support
Contact Recharge Support and provide the time you would like your store to begin processing recurring orders.
Recharge can configure the processing hour for your store.
Considerations
Consider the following:
Consideration | Notes |
| Eastern Time (ET) | Recharge uses Eastern Time for charge processing. Daylight Saving Time may affect how processing times correspond to your local time zone. |
| International stores | Merchants operating outside North America should verify that the configured processing time aligns with their local business day. |
| Charge dates | If you adjust charge dates to accommodate your local time zone, customers may see a charge date that differs from the local calendar date. Consider updating your Delivery Schedule messaging to explain this behavior if needed. |
