Recurring workflows are not triggered on the right charge
Issue
A recurring workflow set to trigger on a specific order number fires on the wrong charge, or doesn't fire at all. This happens when the expected recurring order number doesn't match Recharge's count because checkout orders are tracked separately from recurring orders.
Environment
Cause
Recharge counts recurring orders separately from checkout orders. When you set a workflow to trigger on a specific recurring order number, Recharge does not include the initial checkout order in that count. A customer's fourth recurring order is their fifth charge overall (one checkout order plus four recurring orders).
Resolution
Identify which recurring order number should trigger the workflow. Do not count the customer's initial checkout order, only count recurring charges.
Confirm the preceding recurring charge has been processed. For example, if the workflow should trigger on the fifth recurring order, the fourth recurring order must be processed first.
To apply the workflow to all recurring orders, set the trigger to All.
