Can I change when the upcoming charge notification is sent?
Upcoming charge notifications are sent daily between 7 PM ET and 11 PM ET. By default, the upcoming charge notification is sent three days ahead of the queued charge date. The time of day notifications are sent cannot be adjusted.
You can edit when you send the upcoming order notification in the Upcoming order email Settings tab. Click Email in the merchant portal and select Upcoming order email. Click Settings and adjust the number of days before the charge notification should be sent. Click Save settings.
You must contact the Recharge support team to update your notification settings for prepaid order shipment notifications.
If you update the upcoming order notification window, customers who become eligible under the new timing will have their notifications queued for the next available batch.
For example, if customers have orders scheduled 4–6 days from now and you change the notification timing from 3 days to 7 days:
- These customers will have their notifications queued for the next available notification batch.
- The exact timing of when these notifications are sent will depend on whether they are being delivered via Recharge or Klaviyo.
Klaviyo and Recharge
Note that Recharge sends the upcoming charge events to Klaviyo between 1 PM and 4 PM ET. After Recharge sends the upcoming charge events to Klaviyo, Klaviyo handles the notifications you have tied to these event metrics, which may result in timing variations compared to Recharge's in-house notifications.
