Queued orders didn't use the updated shipping rate from Shopify

Issue
The shipping rate was updated in Shopify, but the rate did not update for queued recurring orders in Recharge.

Resolution
Step 1: Verify shipping settings
Review Recharge shipping settings
- In the merchant portal, click Settings and select Shipping.
- Confirm Get all rates from Shopify is selected.
- Check the Recurring Shipping Rates setting:
- Dynamic: Recalculates the shipping rate for each recurring order.
- Retain: Keeps the rate from the original order for each recurring order.
- Verify Charge shipping is enabled to determine if shipping is charged for recurring orders.
Review Shopify shipping settings
- In the Shopify merchant portal, click Settings and select Shipping and Delivery.
- Review your Shopify shipping profile settings:
- Ensure products are in the Shopify shipping profile to apply rates to recurring orders.
- Verify the parameters for shipping rates.
- Recharge and Shopify always select the cheapest applicable rate for orders.
Review specific customer examples

Find a customer who has an incorrect rate.
- Verify if the customer is using a Manual Rate.
Step 2: Adjust shipping settings
You have two options to resolve this issue based on your store's needs:
Option 1: Adjust shipping storewide to dynamic
- In the merchant portal, click Settings and select Shipping.

Under Recurring Shipping Rates, change the setting to Dynamically recalculate rates for future orders, and click Save.
- (Optional) Follow the guide Editing shipping rates for existing subscriptions to adjust a rate manually.
This process automatically refreshes your existing queued orders; review your orders to confirm they are updated.
Option 2: Regenerate your orders to include the updated shipping settings
Note: Changing the shipping rate does not impact your queued orders. If you use the dynamic shipping setting, the rate updates after processing the current queued order.
Our support team can manually regenerate your orders to apply any changes to your settings. Contact Recharge support to refresh the shipping rates, be sure to provide an example subscription for confirmation.
Step 3: Review Results
- Choose a customer affected by the rate change and verify the rate has been updated.
- Download the Charges - Queued export and ensure the correct rates are charged.
