Issue

Discount codes were created on the ecommerce platform and customers are using them at checkout, but they are not being reflected on Recharge.

Environment

Resolution

To ensure discount performance on both one-time and subscription orders, it is recommended to create the discount code on both the ecommerce platform and Recharge. However, discounts are not automatically created in Recharge when they are made on the ecommerce platform.

If you are on the Shopify Checkout Integration you can use the Shopify Discount Import feature to create the discount codes on Recharge.

If you are on the BigCommerce Checkout Integration or Recharge Checkout on BigCommerce, codes must be manually created as outlined in the Creating discount codes guide.
