Using customer segments with Subscription Experiences
Use customer segments to provide Subscription Experiences to specific groups of customers, or add and remove customers from specified cohorts for improved customer management.

Customer segments overview
A segment is a group of customers that have similar characteristics. You can name each segment to group customers such as “Top Customers” or “Test Customers”. See Customer segments for more information.
You can use segments when setting the conditions for a Trigger node, or when using the Segment node with Reward Strategies or Upcoming Order Cross-sell Subscription Experiences.
Using customer segments when building Subscription Experiences
Segmentation is a critical component when creating and deploying Subscription Experiences. They ensure that you only target your intended customers.
Use a segment when configuring the Trigger node for Reward Strategies, plus Surprise and Delight and Upcoming Order Cross-sell experiences to ensure that the experience only applies to specific customers.
Using the segment node for Reward Strategies or Upcoming Order Cross-sell Subscription Experiences
The Segment node is available through the flow canvas for Reward Strategies or Upsell Subscription Experiences if Rewards is enabled for your store. Drag and drop the node onto the flow canvas to add or remove customers from a specified segment when they reach the point in the experience.
For example, you can segment all customers who receive a milestone incentive after their first order to analyze their purchasing behavior as they continue in the subscription experience.
You can choose a previously created segment, or create a new segment when configuring the experience by clicking on the node and then selecting Create new segment.
