How does Recharge fetch shipping rates for stores on the Shopify Checkout Integration?

Recharge fetches shipping rates by reaching out to Shopify to retrieve the rates. If the attempt is unsuccessful, the fallback rates (previous rates stored within Recharge) will be tried.
If both of these attempts fail, the charge is processed without shipping or the charge will not process and an error will display, depending on your advanced shipping settings.
