There are two options you can use to create gift subscriptions with Recharge. 

Option 1

Gift subscriptions offers an extensive range of features to improve the gift recipient and sender experience. The ability to offer gift subscriptions is available to all Shopify merchants.

These benefits include:

• Gift senders can choose to gift a specific product, any product from a collection, or store credit to the recipient of their choosing.

• Gift senders can select when an email will notify the gift recipient, and when redeeming the gift recipient can choose when to get their first order.

• Multiple Klaviyo metrics are available to customize the experience for both gift senders and recipients. This includes the option to email gift recipients who have run out of credit with information on how to move to a normal subscription.

• Full access to the customer portal for the gift recipient.

• In-app analytics.

• Simple app block integration with Shopify 2.0 themes, and guidance for 1.0 themes.

Option 2

You can also use prepaid subscriptions and enable the option to expire after a certain amount of charges to create a basic gift subscription.
