What is considered sales qualified?
Sales qualified means the lead was able to convert to an opportunity that is worked by our sales team. Only Pro and Custom Pricing deals are sales qualified. For information on our Ideal Customer Profile, please contact your Partner Manager.
Do leads expire?
Partner lead referral forms will expire if the lead is not qualified within 90 days. After the 90 days, the lead referral form can be resubmitted for eligibility.
How do I submit a referral?
Log into your Partner Dashboard. On the left, navigate to “referrals”, and then on the summary page click “submit referral” on the right hand side of the page.
Why was my referral marked as unqualified?
There are a few potential reasons the referral is unqualified with most following into the first two categories:
- It came in through another lead source first (directly to our sales team, from another partner, or another source)
- The merchant referral is already a Recharge customer. Upgrades and renewals are ineligible at this time for revenue share.
- There may be some other reason or circumstance we are unable to qualify this referral. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to partneradmin@rechargeapps.com.
Why was my lead marked as closed lost in PartnerStack?
Per our policies, there are a few reasons that your lead was marked as Closed Lost:
- The lead referral has expired because it is over 90 days old without being nurtured enough for an introduction to the Recharge sales team.
- The lead did not become a Recharge customer. This could be because they failed to launch after a contact was signed or the deal was lost in the sales cycle.
- If the merchant was launching on the Standard plan, the merchant did not accept our Recharge billing terms.
How does revenue share work and what is the timeline for revenue share payouts?
For information on revenue share, please refer to the terms: “XX% of Qualified Merchant Revenue actually received by Recharge. This commission will not be payable for renewals or new purchases by a Qualified Merchant after the one (1) year period following the Qualified Merchant’s first invoice from Recharge for use of the Recharge Services.” For information on merchant qualification, refer to Why was my referral marked as unqualified?
We will post revenue share in the PartnerStack portal within 45 days after the end of the calendar quarter for the previous quarter’s invoices. Once revenue share is added to the PartnerStack portal, it will be available for withdrawal on the 13th of the following month. A Partner shall not be eligible for payment of compensation for a given quarter if all required documentation and/or information with respect to Partner and/or a Qualified Merchant is not provided to Recharge prior to the conclusion of the respective Payout Period. This includes completing the setup of the PartnerStack portal and accepting the Recharge terms in the portal.

A merchant is shown as closed won but I haven't gotten paid yet.
There will generally be a delay of 1-2 months from when a merchant is “closed won” in PartnerStack to when we receive payment from the merchant for their invoice. A merchant will show as “closed won” in ParterStack once the merchant has completed the sales process (signed contract or order form) and completed the required launch steps.
After that, a merchant will begin processing with Recharge, then at the beginning of the following month, we will invoice the merchant for their processing in the previous month. After the merchant pays the invoice, we calculate the revenue share owed to partners. Revenue share is posted quarterly - see Revenue Share Timeline.
I completed a Recharge implementation project some months ago, and I referred the merchant to Recharge before I joined the agency partner program. Can I get credit?
We require that you are already an official Recharge Agency Partner at the time the project/referral occurs in order to get revenue share.
I never got paid for a merchant I referred.
If you have questions about revenue share, please contact us at partneradmin@rechargeapps.com. Please note, we have a 90-day notification policy for revenue share that was not accurately attributed:
In order to appropriately and timely pay partners a commission under the Recharge Agency Partner Program, Recharge attributes Qualified Merchants (as defined in the Terms) to the referring partner agency. If a partner believes that a Qualified Merchant was not accurately attributed to their agency, the partner has 90 calendar days from the merchant’s first invoice from Recharge to notify Recharge. After this 90-calendar day period, the partner is no longer eligible to earn a commission for such merchant.
I sent a referral for a merchant who went live on the standard plan 6 months ago. They're live but I haven't received revenue share yet.
A merchant has to have paid their first Recharge invoice for the 12 month rev share window to begin. This requires that they are both processing with Recharge and have accepted our billing terms. For stores on Shopify Checkout Integration, Recharge bills directly through Shopify, however the merchant’s store owner still needs to accept Recharge’s billing terms.
How is tier credit calculated?
We pull a report from our system that calculates the Annual Contract Value for all eligible referrals that turned into Sales Accepted opportunities for the past 12 months.
What counts for tier credit?
- If you refer a prospect to Recharge and the lead turns into a Sales Accepted opportunity. These types of referrals may be eligible for revenue share.
- If you refer and assist with upgrading a Recharge customer you are working with to a higher product tier (Standard to 12 Month Pro or Month-to-month Pro to Custom). These are not eligible for revenue share.
- If you host a co-marketing event with Recharge where you have referred your customers to Recharge and actively work to get them on Recharge, that will count towards your tier credit.
- Tiering credit is mutually exclusive from revenue share. This means that some referrals that count for tier credit may not count toward revenue share.

How many people at our agency need a badge in order to tier?
At least one person from your agency must have each of the required badges to tier. This means if both the Developer and Core Subscription Management badges are required you can meet the requirement by having either Jane Doe complete the Developer badge AND the Core Subscription Management Badge, OR Jane Doe complete Developer badge and John Doe complete the Core Subscription Management badge.
When do we need to complete the new badge requirements by in order to keep our tier for 2025?
We readjust all partners within the tiers at the beginning of every calendar year. For January 2025 readjustments, the evaluation is based on your progress over 2024 for both referrals and badge requirements. That means you need to complete all required badges for the tier by December 31, 2024.
