What are the stages for my lead?
Lead progress is displayed in stages on your Partner Dashboard. Potential lead stages are as follows:
- Open - The team is reviewing your lead and will communicate an acceptance/rejection decision within ~10 business days of submission.
-
Accepted - Lead meets our rules of engagement or qualification standards.
- Merchant must be new to Recharge (not a current customer).
- Lead must precede any conversation or outreach to our sales team either by the merchant or another source of the lead.
- If multiple partners provide the same lead merchant at the same time, the first partner to successfully introduce the merchant will have their lead qualified. All others will be marked closed lost or rejected.
- Lead must be submitted via your partner account on Lasso.
- Qualified – Merchant opportunity is sales accepted, and within the 90-day qualification window.
-
App Installed - Not Yet Processing (For Starter Plans only).
- Recharge app has been installed but merchant has not accepted billing terms and paid first invoice.
-
Closed Won
- Starter Plans: Merchant accepted billing terms and completed their first paid invoice.
- All other plans: Merchant signs an order form with Recharge.
- Closed Lost – Merchant did not proceed with Recharge.
- Expired – Referral did not progress within the 90 day qualification window.
- Rejected - Referral did not meet our rules of engagement or qualification standards.
Do leads expire?
For Plus or Custom, partner lead referral forms will expire if the lead is not sales-qualified within 90 days from submission. After the 90 days, the lead referral form can be resubmitted for eligibility if you're still working with the merchant.
For Starter plan referrals, the merchant has 90-days to begin processing. After the 90 days, the lead referral form can be resubmitted for eligibility if you're still working with the merchant.
How do I submit a referral?
All referrals need to be submitted in your Partner Dashboard in order to be considered for revenue share. For help on how to navigate your partner account on Lasso, please visit the Lasso help page.
I am unable to submit a referral/lead in my Partner account
Please see Lasso’s help section in your partner account, for details on how to submit leads.
Why was my referral marked as rejected?
There are a few potential reasons the referral is unqualified with most following into the first two categories:
- It came in through another lead source first (directly to our sales team, from another partner, or another source).
- The merchant referral is already a Recharge customer. Upgrades and renewals are not eligible for revenue share at this time.
Why was my lead marked as closed lost in my partner account?
Per our policies, there are a few reasons that your lead was marked as Closed Lost:
- The lead did not become a Recharge customer. This could be because they failed to launch after they signed their contact or the deal was lost in the sales cycle.
- If the merchant was launching on the Starter plan, the merchant did not accept our Recharge billing terms.
How does revenue share work and what is the timeline for revenue share payouts?
Revenue share is considered for introductions to merchants who are not customers of Recharge at the time of the intro. For referrals that qualify, Recharge shares a % of revenue from the merchant’s invoices with the referring partner. For information on revenue share, please refer to your signed partnerships agreement or our general partner terms.
We post revenue share in the partner portal within approx. 45 days after the end of each calendar month for that month’s paid, merchant invoices. Once a revenue share invoice is added to your partner account, it will generally be available for withdrawal within ~15 days. A partner will not be eligible for payment of revenue share for a given month if all required documentation and/or information with respect to that partner and/or a qualified merchant is not provided to Recharge prior to the conclusion of the respective payout period. This includes completing the setup of the Partner portal (on Lasso) and accepting the Recharge terms.

A merchant is shown as closed won but I haven't gotten paid yet
There will generally be a delay from when a merchant is “closed won” in Lasso to when we receive payment from the merchant for their invoice. A merchant will show as “closed won” in Lasso once the merchant has completed the sales process (signed contract or order form) and completed the required launch steps.
After that, a merchant will begin processing with Recharge, then at the beginning of the following month, we will invoice the merchant for their processing in the previous month. After the merchant pays the invoice, we calculate the revenue share owed to partners. See Revenue Share Timeline for more details.
I completed an implementation project before I joined the agency parter program. Can I get credit?
We require that you are already an official Recharge Agency Partner at the time the project/referral occurs in order to get revenue share. We also require that all referrals are submitted in your Partner Account prior to the merchant’s first conversation with Recharge.
I never got paid for a merchant I referred
Please note, we have a 90-day notification policy for revenue share that was not accurately attributed.
In order to appropriately and timely pay partners a commission under the Recharge Agency Partner Program, Recharge attributes Qualified Merchants (as defined in the Terms) to the referring partner agency. If a partner believes that a Qualified Merchant was not accurately attributed to their agency, the partner has 90 calendar days from the merchant’s first invoice from Recharge to notify Recharge. After this 90-calendar day period, the partner is no longer eligible to earn a commission for such merchant.
I sent a referral for a merchant who went live on the Starter plan 6 months ago. They're live but I haven't received revenue share yet
A merchant has to have paid their first Recharge invoice for the 12 month rev share window to begin. This requires that they are both processing with Recharge and have accepted our billing terms. For stores on Shopify Checkout Integration, Recharge bills directly through Shopify, however the merchant’s store owner still needs to accept Recharge’s billing terms.
How is tier credit calculated?
We pull a report from our system that calculates the Annual Contract Value for all eligible referrals or co-selling opportunities (if applicable) that were qualified over the past 12 months. You can track tier progress within your partner account.
What counts for tier credit?
If you refer a prospect to Recharge and the lead turns into a Sales Accepted opportunity. These types of referrals may be eligible for tiering credit.
If you refer and assist a mutual Recharge customer to upgrade a higher product tier (Starter to 12 Month Plus or Month-to-month Plus to Custom). These are not eligible for tiering credit.
If you host a co-marketing event with Recharge where you have referred your customers to Recharge and actively work to get them on Recharge, that will count towards your tier credit.
Tiering credit is mutually exclusive from revenue share. This means that some referrals that count for tier credit may not count toward revenue share.
