Subscription Experiences glossary of terms
Refer to the glossary below when using a flow to build a Subscription Experience for your customers.

A/B Test node | A node that splits the customer journey into two paths based on customizable percentages used to run an A/B test. |
Branch |
A unique path representing the customer journey from start to end.

Cancellation survey node | An action node that presents customers with a cancellation survey, including reasons for cancellation and tailored offers. This node is available when building a Cancellation Prevention strategy. |
Canvas |
The interface where you configure each Subscription Experience using a flow. |
Conditional Branch node |
A node that allows you to create multiple branches where customers meeting the specified condition(s) will be assigned to the corresponding branch. |
Customer segments | A group of customers included or excluded in any given Rewards subscription experience. |
Flow |
A sequence of automated actions executed on a customer's account when predefined conditions are fulfilled. |
Incentive node | An action node that adds a gift or offer to the customer’s account. Use this node to add a free gift or discount with the Surprise and Delight and Rewards Subscription Experiences, or a cross-sell item with the Upcoming Order Subscription Experience. |
Landing page | A standalone customer portal page for customers who enter certain Subscription Experiences. Use the Recharge Site Builder to design landing pages that match your store's branding and voice. |
Node | Flow building blocks used when building Subscription Experiences. Nodes outline the sequence of events in the experience. |
Notification node |
An action node that sends an email notification to the customer. |
Order count |
The customer's order when the Subscription Experience starts. For example, if a customer goes through the checkout and has one recurring order, the second recurring order is order count three (3). If the flow has a trigger of 'order processed' the flow is evaluated after each order is processed. It will check to see if the upcoming order count number matches the desired order count number. Think of it as a sequence order number. |
Segment node | An action node available to merchant using Rewards that lets you create a customer segment, plus add or remove customers from a customer segment. See Using customer segments with Subscription Experiences for more information. |
Site builder |
The easy-to-use, robust page editor where you can edit the look and feel of each landing page. |
Streak count for subscription orders | This number represents how many recent orders a customer has had in sequence without any cancellations. |
Subscription Experience | The automated journey you create for your subscribers using the flows infrastructure. |
Template | A prebuilt Subscription Experience strategy designed to achieve specific outcomes such as increasing LTV or reducing churn. |
Trigger node | The initial step that draws customers into the Subscription Experience and activates the automation. Trigger nodes encompass conditions that filter the customers eligible to enter the workflow. |
