When an email is changed on Shopify or Recharge, Klaviyo automatically creates a net new profile for the customer with their new email in Klaviyo. All historical data for the customer remains on the old profile and anything net new is updated on the new profile.
To merge profiles, Klaviyo has a manual merge function and a route you can use via their API.
