Why do I see multiple shipping prices in the checkout, Shopify, or Recharge?
You may see multiple shipping prices if Split shipping is enabled in Shopify checkout.
Split shipping displays all applicable shipping profiles for each product in the cart or in Recharge, showing the lowest available shipping rate for each product. If products in different shipping profiles share the same shipping cost, it may look like the charge was duplicated. However this is not the case and the system applies the shipping cost once per item.
Shopify calculates rates based on the total combined price and weight of all products in the cart, including their shipping packaging. However, each product’s shipping rate is determined by the lowest rate available within the shipping profile it is assigned to. As rates are calculated per product but assessed using the combined total price and weight of the cart, this can sometimes lead to unexpected shipping costs.
