Why are processed orders showing the new payment method after the customer updates?
This applies to merchants using the Affinity customer portal.
After a customer's payment method is updated, their previous charges may show the new payment method in the Affinity customer portal.
This is expected behavior when a customer's payment method is updated after a transaction has been processed. The new payment method shows on past orders, rather than the original payment method.
This does not change the payment method that was used at the time of processing. It is a visual setting, as the Recharge system tracks and displays the current payment method on file.
