Why are there two shipping rates listed at the checkout?
Shopify Checkout displays two shipping sections: one for the first shipment and one for recurring shipments.
- The first shipment section shows the shipping rate options available at checkout when a customer first places their subscription order
- The recurring shipments section displays the shipping rate that applies to all future recurring orders
Recharge only uses the recurring shipping rate for future orders, not for the initial checkout. On the checkout order recorded in the merchant portal, Recharge displays both:
- The shipping cost for the initial order
- The recurring shipping rate for future subscription orders
Recharge then uses the recurring rate shown at checkout as the shipping rate for all future subscription orders.
If your shipping rates are not showing the price you expect, check your shipping profiles and ensure the product is in the correct Shopify shipping profile. Sometimes a product is included in more than one shipping profile which causes Shopify to show shipping rates from each. See Creating a custom shipping profile for more information.
