Understanding the Recharge subscription widget
The subscription widget is the visual representation of your store’s recurring subscription offerings.
This guide provides instructions on how to enable or disable the subscription widget from your storefront.
Warning: This article applies to merchants using the original subscription widget. If you are using the Shopify 2.0 widget, refer to Overview of the Shopify 2.0 widget.

Preview the subscription widget
You can preview the subscription widget before you make subscriptions live on your storefront. See Preview the subscription widget on your storefront for instructions and more information.
Publish or unpublish the subscription widget
You can publish or unpublish the subscription widget from the Recharge merchant portal anytime.
- From the Recharge merchant portal, click Storefront and select Subscription widget.
- On the subscription widget settings page, click Publish the subscription widget or Unpublish the subscription widget.
If your subscription widget is not appearing on your product pages by default, confirm that Auto Inject is not disabled in your widget settings. If this does not work for you, it may be because you have an older version of the app or you are using an incompatible store theme. Contact the Recharge support team for further assistance.
