Updating shipping address for a customer
A customer may reach out to request an update to their shipping address. Customers can make this update in the customer portal, but as the store owner you can also adjust the address directly in the merchant portal. This guide provides instructions on how to update a customer's shipping address.
Update shipping address
- In the merchant portal, click Customers and select Customers from the dropdown. Search and select the customer.
- Click the actions dropdown on the address you would like to update and select Edit address.
- Update the shipping address and click Update.
Link customer to their shipping address page
If your customer portal settings allow customers to edit their shipping address, you can link your customer to this page directly.
- In the merchant portal, click Customers and select Customers from the dropdown. Search and select the customer.
- Click on Customer portal links to access the dropdown.
- Click the copy icon beside the section of the customer portal you wish to share with your customer.
Update shipping address in bulk
Use the Bulk Managing Discounts and Addresses tool to update the shipping address. To process this type of update you will need to complete the Import template with the address_id
and the address property to be updated. You only need to include the property to be updated all other properties can be left out of the template if they do not require updating.
