How to manually add or remove a free gift to a customer's upcoming order
You can manually add or remove free gifts from a customer’s upcoming order in the merchant portal to reward customers or adjust their order details as needed.

Before you start
- This feature is available through Rewards. Access to Rewards depends on your plan. Check the Loyalty tab in your merchant portal to confirm whether this feature is available in your store.
- Create a Rewards flow to automatically add free gifts to customers' upcoming orders.
Add a free gift to a customer's order
You can add a free gift to a customer's order on the Customer Details page:
- In the merchant portal, select Customers and then click Customers.
- Enter the customer's name in the search bar, then click Search to locate them.
- Click on the customer's name to open the Customer Details page.
- Select Upcoming order, then hover over the upcoming order you'd like to add the free gift to to open the three vertical dot menu.
- Select Add Free gift from the Actions menu drop-down.
- Search for the product that you'd like to add as a free gift from your product list. Click Select, then Next, after locating the product.
- Enter the product quantity the customer should receive in the Quantity field. Then, choose how to handle the free gift if the customer skips or reschedules the upcoming order. You can select one of the following:
- Keep gift on order skip: The gift will automatically apply to the next upcoming order if the customer skips or reschedules
- Lose gift on order skip: The gift will be removed if the customer skips or unschedules their order.
- Click Add free gift to apply the free gift.
Once you save the changes, the free gift appears in the customer’s upcoming order and updates in their order details immediately.
Remove a free gift added to a customer's upcoming order
You can remove a free gift added to an upcoming order on the Customer Details page:
- In the merchant portal, select Customers and then click Customers.
- Enter the customer's name in the search bar, then click Search to locate them.
- Click on the customer's name to open the Customer Details page.
- Select Upcoming order, then click on the upcoming order that includes a free gift.
- Click on the trash can icon next to the free gift to remove it from the customer's upcoming order.
- Select Confirm: remove to remove the free gift from the order.
After clicking Remove, the upcoming order will no longer include the free gift.
