How to enable the product cross-sell carousel on your Affinity customer portal
Use the product cross-sell carousel to display recommended products in a rotating format in the customer portal, encouraging customers to add additional items to their subscriptions.

Enable the product cross-sell carousel
- In the merchant portal, click Storefront, then select Customer portal to access the Customer portal settings .
- Under Cross-sells and swaps, enable Customers can add more products.
Once enabled, the carousel appears in the customer portal and displays recommended products based on your selected configuration.
Choose which products to display
You can control which products appear in the carousel using the following options:

Smart select: Automatically recommends related products based on the product the customer is currently subscribed to. Sorting options include:
- Recommended by Shopify (default)
- Product title: A to Z
- Product title: Z to A
- All products, whether they have a Recharge plan or not: Displays all products from your store’s catalog, including one-time and subscription products.
- All products with a Recharge plan: Displays only products that have an active Recharge subscription plan.

Only products from a specific Recharge collection: Displays products from a selected Recharge collection.
- Prepaid products in the collection will not appear as available swap options to customers.
Considerations
Consider the following when cross-selling products in the customer portal:
