Key features
Fixed amount subscription discounts
Apply a set amount off a subscription plan, such as $5 off, instead of a percentage discount. This makes the savings easier for customers to understand and keeps the discount amount consistent across product prices.
Discount type selection on plans
Choose whether a subscription plan uses a percentage discount or a fixed amount discount when you create or edit the plan. This lets you configure different discount strategies for different plans.
How it works
Fixed amount discounts control the discount applied to a subscription plan. When the feature is enabled, the plan discount field includes a dropdown where you choose how Recharge calculates the subscription discount.
You can choose between two discount types:
- Percent off: Reduces the subscription price by a percentage, such as 10%.
- Amount off: Reduces the subscription price by a fixed amount, such as $5.
The selected discount applies to the subscription price at checkout and in the customer portal. Fixed-amount discounts stay the same regardless of product price, so review your pricing before applying the same fixed discount to products with different prices.
Customer experience
Customers using Affinity or Unity see the discounted price with the original price crossed out, similar to percentage discounts.
