Customer Portal Cross-Sell Early Adopter Program
Customer Portal Cross-Sell, when used with the Affinity Home Page Builder, allows you to create targeted cross-sell experiences. Instead of showing the same products to every customer, you can configure multiple cross-sell flows based on customer attributes, subscription data, or product conditions. This helps you create more relevant product recommendations and control which offers appear in different areas of the customer portal.

How it works
Customer Portal Cross-sell uses flow-based configurations to control which products appear in cross-sell carousels within the customer portal. Each flow combines audience conditions with product recommendation settings to determine when a customer sees a specific offer.
Each carousel can contain up to three flows at one time. If no flows are configured, the customer portal continues using the existing cross-sell experience.
Key features
Multiple cross-sell flows
Create multiple customer portal cross-sell flows with no limit on the number you can configure. This allows you to build targeted experiences for different customer groups.
Audience targeting
Configure conditions to determine which customers see a cross-sell offer. You can target customers using subscription activity, segments, shipping location, collections, variants, tags, and other subscription attributes.
Multiple carousel placements
You can place the carousel in two places in the customer portal:
- Main column
- Right column
Each carousel can display up to three prioritized flows.
Flexible product recommendations
Choose how products appear in the cross-sell carousel using several recommendation methods:
- Best-selling products
- Shopify recommended products
- Specific products or variants
- Recharge Collections
- Shopify tags
You can also configure sort order and choose how many products appear in the carousel.
Variant-based recommendations
Enable recommendations for alternate variants of products a customer already subscribes to. This allows you to promote different flavors, scents, sizes, or pack variations.
