How to configure bundles add-ons and extras
You can enhance customizable bundles by offering add-ons and extras, giving customers the flexibility to personalize their subscriptions. Add-ons are managed through Shopify collections and can be configured to appear as a one-time extra on a customer's first order.

Before you start
- Add-ons and extras can only be added to fixed-price customizable bundles.
How it works
Customizable bundles can be set up to include additional products as part of the subscription. These add-ons are managed through a Shopify collection, just like your main bundle configuration. There are no quantity limits on add-ons and extras. Customers can add as many items as they want.
You can offer add-ons as one-off extras, which are added to the first order only.
Step 1 - Set up products and a collection in Shopify
Before adding to the bundle, create the add-on products and an add-on collection in Shopify.
- Create the product(s) in Shopify that can be used as an add-on.
- Create your add-on collection in Shopify.
Step 2 - Select add-ons for the bundle
After creating the add-on collection, you can add it to the bundle on Recharge.
- In the merchant portal, click Products and select Bundles.
- Click the three vertical-dot menu on the specific bundle.
- Click Edit bundle and select Got it to edit the bundle:
- Click Add next to Cross-sells in the additional settings section.
- Click Select Shopify collections and choose your add-on collection. Click Apply to choose the collection.
- Click Save.
