Understanding Shopify's apps approval and usage limit

When installing Recharge, you will be directed to approve your Shopify app subscriptions. You will receive an e-mail from Shopify after accepting billing through Recharge.
Shopify's app approval page
On Shopify's app approval page, the plan text will display differently depending on your plan.
- For new merchants the text will show as "Plan: $99 per month + 1.49% + 19c per order [60 Day Free Trial]".
- For merchants on the 25-50 plan the text will show as "Plan: $25 per month".
- For merchants on the Starter Plan the text will show as "Plan: $99 per month + 1.49% + 19c per order".
- For merchants on Pro or Custom the text will show as "Plan: Custom pricing".
Note: If you are on a Custom plan and signed the contract before installing Recharge, you will initially see "Plan: $99 per month + 1.49% + 19c per order" since the system is unaware of the contract. You may ignore this text as the custom pricing will be updated to override it
Shopify sets a capped amount, known as the app approval usage limit, to prevent charges from exceeding this set maximum during a billing period.
How it works with Recharge
Recharge charges a monthly usage fee. Your total bill may change every 30 days based on your sales volume. The app approved usage limit aims to protect merchants from unexpected or excessive charges.
What if I exceed the usage limit?
To continue using the app, simply agree to a new usage charge to adjust your limit. If you do not accept this charge, it may lead to losing access to Recharge. For more information or to modify your usage limit, visit Shopify's App Usage Charges section.
