Why is the Subscription First Order tag showing on orders from existing customers?

The Subscription First Order tag is used to denote a new subscription that was processed through the checkout. This means that if the customer has an existing subscription, but goes through the checkout to add a new subscription to their account that new subscription order is also tagged with Subscription First Order.
