Checkout Cross-Sell & Upsell flow is not appearing at checkout or tracking impressions
Issue
You've configured a Checkout Cross-Sell or Upsell flow but:
- The flow is not appearing at checkout.
- You are not seeing any impressions in Recharge analytics.
Environment

Resolution
Confirm the following to ensure your flow appears at checkout and tracks impressions:
- Confirm the app block has been added to the checkout
- Confirm the correct app block is selected
- Confirm the flow is activated
- Verify trigger conditions match test scenario
- Verify Shop Pay settings
Confirm the app block has been added to the checkout
Make sure the Recharge app block has been added to your Shopify Checkout.

Confirm the correct app block is selected
There may be multiple Recharge app blocks available in the checkout editor. You'll want to ensure the correct Recharge app block is selected in the dropdown within the checkout editor.
- For Checkout Cross-Sell, ensure the Recharge Checkout Offers app block is selected, then choose Cross-sell in the dropdown. See Add the Cross-Sell app block to your checkout page for more information.
- For the Checkout Upsell Line Items feature, ensure the Recharge Line Item Offers app block is enabled. See Add the Upsell block to your Shopify theme for more information.
- For the Checkout Upsell All feature, ensure the Recharge Checkout Offers app is selected, then choose Upsell all line items in the dropdown. See Add the Upsell block to your Shopify theme for more information.
- For the Checkout Upsell Swap feature, ensure the Recharge Checkout Offers app block is selected, then choose Upsell swap in the dropdown. See Add the checkout app block to your checkout for more information.
Confirm the flow is activated
In the Recharge merchant portal:
- Navigate to the flow configuration.

Ensure the flow status is set to Active.
Verify trigger conditions match test scenario
If your flow uses trigger conditions:
- Make sure the products in your test cart meet the configured trigger conditions.
- Confirm the correct product is added to the cart, the correct variant is used, and any cart value or subscription requirements are satisfied.
- Confirm if you have multiple flows with the same trigger and overlapping conditions that are not intended to run together. See Flow warning about multiple active flows with the same trigger.
Verify Shop Pay settings
If you'd like customers to utilize Checkout Cross-Sell or Upsell flow with Shop Pay, confirm the Checkout behavior setting in Shopify is set to "Include app block in Shop Pay". By default, this Shopify setting is not enabled. If it is not enabled, app blocks will not appear at checkout for Shop Pay and impressions will not be recorded.
