Before you start
How it works
Use Recharge's prebuilt Send free gift reminder template to create an automated experience that notifies customers about their free gift. These reminders can be tailored based on the customer's journey, ensuring relevant and timely communication about the free gift, redemption instructions, and any expiration dates.
Step 1 - Create the experience
Create the Rewards experience in Recharge:
- Click Loyalty in the merchant portal and select Rewards from the dropdown.
- Click Create from the template and select Send free gift reminder.
- Click Get started! to access the template.
Step 2 - Review the template
Recharge designed this template to streamline the Rewards creation process. This ready-made template is flexible, allowing you to tailor the experience by adjusting or removing the preconfigured nodes.
Step 1 - Review the Trigger node
You can update the Trigger node to set customer conditions and define which customers should enter the experience. Alternatively, you can keep the existing trigger rules to process the flow on every order.
Step 2 - Review the Notification node
Use Recharge's prebuilt notification, or click on the Notification node to update the existing notification. Alternatively, you can remove the default node and add the Klaviyo node to create your notifications in Klaviyo.
Translating your notifications
You can translate the notifications Recharge sends as part of the experience, or target customers by language in Klaviyo to send flows in multiple languages.
Step 3 - Manage settings
Click Manage settings to rename the experience and add a description. You can also set the flow duration and run count limit. See Settings for additional details. These settings cannot be altered after activating the flow.
Step 4 - Save and activate the flow
Save and activate the flow to start sending reward reminders to customers.
- Click Save in the top right corner to save the experience.

Click Activate when you are ready to go live and automatically issue credits to your customers.
