How to update free gifts and credits messaging in the customer portal

Free gifts and credits are popular incentives for many Rewards flows. Customers interact with these incentives in many places, including the customer portal. You can update this messaging to match your brand, or to be more informative for your customers.
This guide explains updating customer portal messaging for free gifts and store credit.

Before you start
- This feature is available through Rewards. Access to Rewards depends on your plan. Check the Loyalty tab in your merchant portal to confirm whether this feature is available in your store.
Free gifts - Access the Translation settings
- In the merchant portal, click Storefront and select Copy & Translations.
- Select the Free gift rewards section.
- Each translation field expands, where you can adjust the text customers see. Customize each message field to update the free gift copy customers see in the customer portal.
- Click Save once you've finished making your edits.
Credits - Access the Translation settings
- In the merchant portal, click Storefront and select Copy & Translations.
- Select the Credits section.
- Each translation field expands, where you can adjust the text customers see. Customize each message field to update the credit copy customers see in the customer portal.
- Click Save once you've finished making your edits.
