Quick Actions 2.0 Early Adopter Program
Quick Actions let you create customer-facing links to include in your Klaviyo emails and SMS messages. Customers can click a link to modify an upcoming order or jump straight to the customer portal, making it easy to act on your marketing messages in one click.
Quick Actions 2.0 is a significant upgrade to Recharge Quick Actions. You can now save and manage quick actions, stack multiple actions into a single link, customize the landing page customers see, set expiry dates, and measure performance with built-in analytics.
This guide explains how to create a quick action, customize its landing page, and review its performance.

Create a quick action
Fill out the interest form to request access to Quick Actions 2.0. Once enabled, follow the steps below to create a quick action:
Step 1 - Set up the quick action
- In your Recharge merchant portal, select Storefront, then click Quick actions.
- Click Create new quick action.
- Select the quick action type:
- Modify upcoming order: Apply one or more actions to the customer's upcoming order.
- Link to customer portal: Send the customer directly to their customer portal.
- Add a name and an optional description for your quick action.
- If you selected Modify upcoming order, move on to Step 2. If you select Link to customer portal, click Save quick action.
Step 2 - Build the quick action
Step 1 - Add actions
If you selected Modify upcoming order, add one or more actions to the quick action:
Action |
Description |
|---|---|
| Delay | Delay the current subscription. You can only add one Delay action per quick action, but it can include up to five delay duration options for the customer to choose from. |
| Skip next charge | Skip the customer's upcoming charge. |
| Cross-sell | Add new products to the order, at either the product or variant level, as a one-time purchase, a subscription, or both. Cross-sell is the only action you can add multiple times to the same quick action. |
| Swap | Swap to another product, and change the quantity if needed. |
| Reactivate subscription | Reactivate a cancelled subscription. |
| Send now | Send the product now. Send now can't be combined with any other action. |
| Apply Discount | Apply a discount code created in Recharge. |
Stack multiple actions
You can combine compatible actions in a single quick action, such as a delay and a cross-sell. Not all actions can be stacked together:
| Delay | Skip next charge | Cross-sell | Swap | Reactivate subscription | Send now | Apply Discount | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Delay | ✕ | ✕ | ✓ | ✓ | ✕ | ✕ | ✓ |
| Skip next charge | ✕ | ✕ | ✓ | ✓ | ✕ | ✕ | ✓ |
| Cross-sell | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✕ | ✕ | ✓ |
| Swap | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✕ | ✕ | ✕ | ✓ |
| Reactivate subscription | ✕ | ✕ | ✕ | ✕ | ✕ | ✕ | ✓ |
| Send now | ✕ | ✕ | ✕ | ✕ | ✕ | ✕ | ✕ |
| Apply Discount | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✕ | ✕ |
Step 2 - Configure URL settings
Choose how the quick action link will be used in Klaviyo. This determines the URL Recharge generates for you, so it matches your Klaviyo setup:
- Campaign: Use the link in a one-off Klaviyo campaign where you choose the audience. Because there's no Recharge event tied to the send, the URL looks up a subscription from the customer's Klaviyo profile which is typically their first active, non-prepaid subscription. Reactivate quick actions look up a cancelled subscription instead.
- Flow: Use the link in a Klaviyo flow triggered by a Recharge metric. The URL uses the specific subscription attached to the triggering event. Select the trigger that matches your flow:
Action |
Available triggers |
|---|---|
| Delay, Skip next charge, Cross-sell, Swap, Send now, Apply Discount | Subscription Started on Recharge Upcoming Order on Recharge |
| Reactivate subscription | Subscription Cancelled on Recharge |
Optionally, set an expiry date. If a customer clicks the link after this date, they see a page explaining that the offer has expired.
Step 3 - Customize the landing page
Click Customize landing page to design the page customers see when they open your link. Use the selector at the top of the customizer to switch between the Landing page and the Confirmation page.
The customizer shows the sections relevant to the actions you've selected, plus the Heading and Confirmation sections. For each section, you can adjust:
- Layout settings, including section width, background color, padding, and whether the section displays inside a card
- Action-specific titles, descriptions, labels, and links, such as the swap-out and swap-in titles for a Swap action or the button label on the Confirmation section
You can also click Add a section to add additional Recharge sections or custom extensions.
Step 4 - Save the quick action
After building the quick action, click Save quick action to save it.
Customer experience
When a customer clicks a quick action link:
- The customer is asked to log in using your store's authentication method (passwordless login or Shopify account login).
- After logging in, they land on the quick action landing page, showing the affected order and the changes to be made.
- The customer clicks Confirm updates to apply the changes, then sees the confirmation page.
If a cross-sell or swap product in the quick action isn't available in the customer's Shopify Market, based on their shipping address, the customer sees a page explaining that the offer isn't available in their location.
Review quick action performance
Each quick action includes analytics for the selected date range:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Links clicked | The number of times the quick action link was opened from an email. Counted on the first hit, before the customer logs in. |
| Landing page views | The number of times the landing page rendered after login. |
| Customer actions | The number of times a customer confirmed the quick action. |
| Conversion rate | Customer actions divided by landing page views. |
Each metric shows the change compared to the previous period of the same length. Daily charts are available for landing page views, customer actions, and conversion rate.
Views are counted from the email link only. Refreshing the landing page does not increase the view count.
Considerations
Consider the following when using Quick Actions 2.0:
Consideration |
Notes |
|---|---|
| Compatibility | Quick Actions 2.0 is compatible with Shopify Markets, preset Bundles, and Shopify Multipass. It is not compatible with customizable Bundles or prepaid subscriptions. |
| Quick Actions 1.0 | Quick Actions 1.0 remains available until you enable 2.0, at which point the 1.0 option is removed from the navigation. Links created in 1.0 continue to work, but are unsupported and don't appear in 2.0 analytics. Recharge recommends recreating your links in 2.0 and updating them in your marketing messages. |
| Migration | Quick actions created in 1.0 aren't stored, so they can't be migrated to 2.0. Recreate them in 2.0. |
