Recharge Analytics MCP Early Adopter Program
The Recharge Analytics MCP connector provides direct access to your store's analytics data via AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT. You can ask questions about your subscription business in plain language, run deeper analyses, generate visualizations, and set up automated reporting — without logging in to Recharge.
This guide explains what you can do with the Recharge Analytics MCP connector, how to connect it to your AI assistant, and how your data is handled.
- Cross-platform
Before you start
- The Recharge Analytics MCP connector is in Early Adopter status. See Early Adopter Program for more information. Fill out the interest form to request access to the feature.
- You need an AI assistant that supports MCP connectors, such as Claude or ChatGPT. You may need to refer to your AI assistant's documentation for details on adding connectors.
- You must authenticate the connector using your Recharge account credentials.
What you can do
The Recharge Analytics MCP connector lets your AI assistant query your store's Recharge analytics data. Common use cases include:
- Quick answers: Get fast answers to analytics questions without navigating dashboards. For example, "What is my active subscriber count?" or "What was my GMV last month?"
- Complex analysis: Ask broad, open-ended questions and let your AI assistant determine which metrics to evaluate. For example, "Analyze my churn rate over the past year and explain any noteworthy trends." The assistant can produce reports that include tables, charts, and written explanations.
- Data visualizations: Build charts, interactive dashboards, or slide decks from your data. For example, "Show me a chart of my subscriber growth by month for the past year."
- Automated alerts and reports: Combine the connector with your AI assistant's scheduling features to receive recurring reports or threshold-based alerts. For example, "Every Monday, pull my weekly subscriber and churn metrics and post a summary to my Slack channel." This requires a scheduling mechanism in your AI client, such as scheduled tasks in Claude, as well as any additional connectors needed for delivery (for example, a Slack connector).
Available data
The connector supports aggregate metrics queries, such as counts, sums, rates, and averages, across all 130+ metrics available in Recharge. Data categories include:
Category |
Example question |
|---|---|
| Subscribers | How many new subscribers did I add last week? |
| Subscriptions | How many active subscriptions for face cream do I have? |
| Sales and revenue | What was my revenue from recurring subscription orders last week? |
| Upcoming orders | How many 8 oz units of face cream are scheduled to be processed next week? |
| Customer actions | How many customers skipped their subscription order in the last 30 days? |
| Renewals and renewal rates | Which of my products had the highest renewal rate over the last 3 months? |
| Cohort performance | Which of my subscription products drives the highest 12-month lifetime revenue? |
| Payment errors and recovery | How has my failed payment recovery rate trended since the beginning of the year? |
| Cancellation prevention | What are the top 3 reasons customers are cancelling their subscriptions? |
| Benchmarks | How does my store's active churn rate compare with the average for my vertical over the past 6 months? |
Data and privacy
- Aggregate metrics only: The connector does not support record-level queries. For example, you can request churn counts and churn rates for a given period, but not a list of the individual subscribers or subscriptions that churned.
- Read-only: The connector cannot make changes to your Recharge store or the records it contains, such as subscriptions or orders.
