Overview
The Recharge Agency Partner Program is designed to reward agencies that support our mission by referring new merchants, co-selling with our team, delivering successful implementations, and helping our mutual customers grow on Recharge.
Partners who demonstrate product expertise, commercial impact, and a commitment to client success will be recognized with elevated tier status, unlocking exclusive benefits, including merchant referrals, revenue share, and co-marketing opportunities.
Recharge agency partner mission
Agencies have been core to the success of Recharge and our merchants from the very beginning, helping Recharge products come to life. As a Recharge Agency Partner, you’ll get access to the tools, training, and responsive support you need to deliver growth for your merchants. You will also gain access to revenue share for merchant referrals to Recharge, introductions to merchants requiring agency support, and opportunities to contribute as thought leaders in our event and co-marketing initiatives.

Requirements
Application approval
To become a Recharge partner, start by completing our Agency Partner Application Form. This helps us understand your services, typical client profile, the technologies you specialize in, and your current partnerships, so we can determine if there's strong alignment. Once submitted, our team will review your application and, if approved, you’ll receive a welcome email with onboarding instructions.
Partner terms
In order to participate in the Recharge Agency Partner Program, you must agree to the Terms.
Tiers
Partners will be reviewed for eligibility for tier promotions every quarter based on their performance over the prior 12 months and will keep the highest tier level they reached through the end of each calendar year.
At the end of every year, all partners will be readjusted within the tiers. Partners will be notified of any changes to their tier status. Recharge reserves the sole right to use discretion when evaluating a partner's tier eligibility.
You can find a schedule of tier promotion and adjustment dates and performance windows in our Agency Partner Program FAQs.
Select, Premier, and Elite requirements
Recharge brand visible on partner’s website
Partners who have achieved Select, Premier, or Elite are required to mention Recharge on their website. This can include adding the Recharge logo, your partner tier badge, a link to the Recharge website, a short blurb on Recharge, or building out a dedicated Recharge landing page on your website.
Minimum referral and co-sell revenue
For tier elevation, the contract value of the trailing 12 months of sales-qualified referrals OR a combination of sales-qualified referrals and co-sold won deals is used for evaluation. Sales-qualified projects are referred merchants qualified by the Recharge sales team on a Plus or a Custom pricing plan.
Referral
For Plus and Custom referrals, this is when a partner submits a referral form through the Partner Dashboard (PartnerStack), has the referral confirmed (attributed to the partner) by Recharge after the partner makes a direct introduction between Recharge and the merchant, and the merchant goes through a Recharge sales cycle. A successful referral partner is ultimately decided by Recharge. We have a first-touch attribution policy, which means whoever facilitates a qualified merchant’s first introduction to Recharge gets referral credit.
For Starter referrals, this is when a partner submits a referral form, sets up the store, and launches the store on Recharge.
Co-sell
For closed won deals effective January 1, 2025, this is when a partner actively participates in the sales cycle with Recharge sellers, has the co-sell confirmed (attributed to the partner) by Recharge. A successful co-sell partner is ultimately decided by Recharge.
Enablement of sales teams and project teams
To provide the best experience for our merchants, we want partners to be up to date on the latest Recharge product features and updates. We require that both project and sales teams attend Partner Manager-led enablement sessions (if applicable). We have extensive content in our Onboarding docs and Developer Hub to keep your team up to date on our latest products, features, and best practices.
Elite Tier Requirements
Invite only: the highest level of partnership with Recharge. For more details on the Elite requirements and benefits, see Elite Partners.
Benefits
Revenue share
Receive 10% revenue share for 12 months on qualified merchants' referrals, paid monthly via Lasso. Revenue share is our way of recognizing the value you bring in helping merchants succeed with Recharge, from giving solutions when they’re evaluating Recharge to ongoing support on our platform.
There are a couple of important details to keep in mind:
- The lead must be submitted through Lasso prior to sales and merchant interaction for acceptance.
- The merchant must be new to Recharge (not an existing customer).
- If the lead is accepted, the partner must facilitate a direct merchant introduction unless the merchant is opting for our Starter plan. The first partner to make the introduction will get referral credit.
- If the merchant opts for our Starter plan, please assist the merchant with installation and processing setup. Recharge cannot assign revenue share until the merchant takes these first steps.
- Referrals expire in 90 days unless one of the following occurs:
- The lead is introduced directly to the Recharge team, OR
- For Starter referrals, the merchant has become a paying customer
For more details on revenue share and referrals, please refer to our Program Policies below and Terms.
Partner Bonuses
Partner bonuses are special limited-time financial bonuses that may be offered to some or all tiers of Agency Partners to help achieve specific business goals. This may include, but is not limited to cross-selling Recharge customers new Recharge products or referring a product upgrade to a Recharge customer. Partner Bonus eligibility is subject to special rules outlined in Partner Bonus announcements, which may be shared with partners via email, in the Recharge Partner Portal, or by other means. Partner Bonuses are outlined in section 6.3 of the Agency Partner Terms “Limited-time Marketing Campaign and Special Referral Fees”.
Partner Manager
Recharge Partner Managers serve as an extension of your agency within Recharge. They identify opportunities to help you achieve revenue and growth targets, teach you how to sell and implement the Recharge product, help you navigate Recharge teams to support your merchants on implementations, and identify opportunities for collaboration. They act as a direct point of contact for elevating your relationship with Recharge and act as an internal champion for our partnership.
Recharge merchant referrals
Merchants often ask our team to recommend partners when they require agency support. Based on the project scope, merchant territory, and merchant budget, we will identify and introduce Partners who would be a good fit for the merchant. We prioritize Elite partners for merchant referrals. Merchants with small project needs, often identified by Recharge Customer Support, are referred to the Recharge Partner Directory.
Partner directory listing
All partners can create a directory listing on our Recharge Partner Directory. Merchants use the directory to find and connect with Recharge partners who can help them with their Recharge projects. By creating a directory listing, a partner is authorizing Recharge to share the information provided and such information is subject to Recharge’s Privacy Policy.
Partner Awards eligibility
Select, Premier, and Elite Partners are eligible for our annual Partner Awards. Partners may nominate themselves or be nominated by their Partner Manager. Partner awards highlight Recharge Partners’ outstanding contributions to merchant success with Recharge. Partner awards are presented annually at ChargeX, and may come with benefits, which may include speaking engagements or case study opportunities.
Marketing
Co-marketing collaboration
Our partner program is built on purposeful, performance-driven collaboration. As you grow with Recharge, you unlock increasingly impactful co-marketing opportunities to amplify your visibility, credibility, and reach. Our team will collaborate with you to align efforts with your tier, tailor go-to-market activations, and drive measurable results.
Premier Partners: Premier partners receive consideration for high-impact content creation, featured speaking opportunities at signature events, and exclusive participation in experiential marketing programs. This enhanced access ensures your message reaches key decision-makers through our most impactful channels.
Elite Partners: Elite partners receive first consideration for keynote speaking engagements, case study creation, thought leadership pieces, intimate & experiential ABM events, premium event sponsorships, and VIP conference experiences. This comprehensive suite of opportunities enables deep market penetration and maximum brand exposure.
Promoted in Recharge marketing
Events, initiatives, or content generated by Select, Premier, and Elite partners may be promoted by the Recharge Partner Marketing team through Recharge channels such as social channels, the Recharge Blog, the Recharge Merchant Newsletter, Recharge Partner Newsletter, or events and webinars.
Support
Technical Support
All partners have access to our technical support team using the in-app support for technical questions and will be routed according to the highest of the merchant’s service level or the partner tier. If your question falls outside the scope of technical support, you can contact your partner manager for additional help.
Solutions Engineering
Elite and Premier Partners can request access to Solutions Engineers to assist with designing custom solutions leveraging the Recharge API. To request assistance from Solutions Engineer, please contact your Partner Manager. 1:1 solutions support is prioritized on a case-by-case basis depending on the merchant.
Dedicated Slack channel
Elite and Premier partners have access to a dedicated Slack channel between the partner and their Partner Manager.
Training & communications
Business reviews
Partner Managers will conduct business reviews with Elite and Premier partners. Business reviews are a chance for you and your Partner Manager to reflect on the partnership's success, identify areas of improvement, and discuss opportunities to deepen the relationship.
Training & enablement
All partners have access to self-service training and enablement via our Onboarding Docs and Developer Hub.
Recharge partner portal
All partners have access to our Agency Partner Portal, which can be accessed through this link. The primary contact we have on file for your agency will be invited to set up the account as the admin. We recommend setting up your account owner email using a company-owned email address that will not be deactivated if there are personnel changes (ex: partnerships@company.com). Recharge is unable to update your team owner on your behalf; you must update it yourself in the portal. See Lasso's help section in your partner account for more details.
Within the portal, you can submit and track referrals, review and withdraw your revenue share.
Elite Partners
Invite only: the highest level of partnership with Recharge
Elite Partners represent the highest standard in collaboration, expertise, and merchant growth. This invite-only tier is reserved for agencies that demonstrate exceptional alignment with Recharge’s mission and consistently deliver outstanding results for merchants. Elite partners are deeply embedded across our teams at Recharge and are recognized as extensions of our brand.
What makes an Elite Partner - Qualitative requirements
Elite status is not just earned through numbers. It is built on trust, performance, and shared ambition. Recharge evaluates Elite candidates on qualitative criteria, including:
- All-in Co-Selling: Elite partners engage early and often, operating as trusted collaborators throughout the sales cycle. When we co-sell effectively, we win together.
- Deep Product Expertise: Elite partners understand Recharge inside and out. They’ve led complex implementations, can articulate our value with confidence, and are recognized as product experts by both merchants and Recharge teams.
- Consistency and Alignment: Strong partnerships require rhythm. Elite partners show up regularly, stay aligned with our teams, and build long-term momentum through reliable collaboration.
- Strong Advocacy: Elite partners are true Recharge champions. They actively advocate for our platform with merchants and make Recharge a central part of their client strategy.
Because these criteria go beyond standard performance metrics, partners interested in achieving Elite status are encouraged to proactively engage their Partner Manager for guidance on reaching this top tier.
Elite Partner benefits
- Priority Access to Merchant Referrals: First consideration for high-value, Recharge-led co-selling opportunities and Recharge customer referrals.
- Increased Visibility in Recharge Marketing: Frequent features and priority in Recharge’s events, co-branded content, and marketing channels.
- Dedicated Cross-Functional Support: Personalized support from Recharge sales, solutions, implementation, and customer success teams.
- Advanced Enablement: Specialized training opportunities.
- Company-Wide Recognition: Broad visibility within Recharge, from executives to account executives.

Program policies and processes
Referral process
Merchants are often surrounded by multiple partners and Recharge sellers, so we have a first-introduction model. In order to qualify for revenue share:
- Partners should submit their lead one of the following ways:
- Through the partner portal (Lasso).
- By sending an email to recharge@in.heylasso.ai with merchant details for the Lasso AI agent to log a draft lead for you.
- Using your Lasso referral link.
- Recharge will review the lead and let you know if the lead is eligible for an introduction by updating the status in the partner portal to either “accepted” or “not accepted”.
- If the lead is accepted:
- And is evaluating Plus or Custom plans, you must be the first partner to facilitate an introduction between Recharge and the prospect in order to receive revenue share. This introduction must be made within 90 days, otherwise the lead expires.
- If the lead is opting for our Starter (self-service) plan, no direct introduction to the Recharge team is required.
- Once the qualified referral becomes a paying customer (the first invoice is paid), partners will receive 12 months of revenue share, paid monthly.
Please review Recharge's Program Policies below for important revenue share requirements and rules.
Other FAQs on referrals and revenue share can be found at Recharge Agency Partner FAQs.
Program policies
Referral expiration policy
Accepted Starter Plan referrals expire after ninety days if the lead has not converted to a processing customer. A Starter (self-service) merchant is considered a customer when they have both accepted the Recharge billing terms in Recharge AND are actively processing.
For Plus and Custom referrals, accepted leads expire after 90 days if the lead is not nurtured enough for an introduction to the Recharge sales team. Expired leads will be marked as Expired in Lasso. The lead can then be resubmitted for eligibility, and the 90 day period resets.
Store attribution policy
Recharge attributes Qualified Merchants (as defined in the Terms) to the referring partner agency. The referral must be submitted in Lasso before the lead signs up for Recharge and the partner must facilitate a direct introduction to the Recharge team (for Plus and Custom pricing plans evaluations) in order to get credit for a merchant referral. If a partner believes that a Qualified Merchant was not accurately attributed to their agency, the partner has 90 calendar days from the merchant’s first invoice from Recharge to notify Recharge. If a partner believes a Qualified Merchant should have been attributed to its account for commission but fails to notify Recharge within this 90 day calendar period, the partner forfeits its right and is no longer eligible to earn a commission for such merchant.
Revenue share expiration policy
Once a referred merchant becomes a Recharge customer and their first invoice is paid, partners have 90 days to set up their Lasso financial details to receive revenue share.
Please see Lasso's Help Section n your partner account for more details on loading bank and tax information. If the account is not fully set up within this 90 day window, the partner forfeits any revenue share associated with that merchant.
