Does updating the customer's address on Shopify update the address on Recharge?
For merchants using Affinity, Prima, or Novum
No, the customer sync feature updates first name, last name, email, phone number, tax exemption status, and email marketing preference for customer information between Recharge and Shopify, but does not update address.
It is recommended that customers update their address through their customer portal and in Shopify to ensure their subscription items ship to the correct address. Customer addresses created in Recharge will sync when orders are processed, however updates made on Shopify are not automatically synced to Recharge.
You may consider hiding the address on the Shopify account or adding custom code to guide subscription customers to their customer portal for address updates. Reach out to Shopify Support for further information on how to implement this type of coding.
For merchants using Unity
Adding or editing an address in Shopify under Profile settings will not update the subscription order in Recharge. To ensure the queued order goes to the new address, you must update the address for the subscriptions under Subscription addresses on the Profile page.
See Add or edit your address for instructions.
