Does Recharge charge tax on my invoice?
Certain states require software-as-a-service (SAAS) business to charge sales tax. As such, Recharge is required by law to collect and remit sales tax in the following states:
- Arizona
- Connecticut
- District of Columbia
- Hawaii
- Iowa
- Kentucky
- Massachusetts
- New York
- Ohio
- Pennsylvania
- Rhode Island
- South Carolina
- Tennessee
- Texas
- Utah
- Washington
- West Virginia
If your primary business address is located in one of the states mentioned, Recharge is required to charge tax. Tax is added as an additional line item on your Recharge invoice. If your business is exempt from sales tax, please submit a valid exemption certificate to accountsreceivable@rechargeapps.com.
If your business is not located in one of those states or is outside of the United States, Recharge does not charge tax on billing.
