Handling payment method deleted via Shopify revoke event
Issue
The customer's profile or charge is showing the error Payment Method deleted via Shopify revoke event or Address_Payment_Method deleted by [API]: Recharge process.

This issue primarily affects Shop Pay methods, though other gateway methods may also be impacted. We recommend also referring to our guide on Handling payment method revoked errors.

Resolution
Shop Pay
Customers can visit Shop Pay directly to update their payment details with a new payment method or edit their existing payment methods.
Customers will also see a modal on the Affinity Customer Portal to send an edit payment link if the revoked payment method was the only one on file.
Credit card
You can send a Shopify-hosted Update payment method email to securely collect new payment details.
Frictionless Payments
If you are using Frictionless Payments, customers can update their payment method directly through the customer portal.
