Understanding Recharge Analytics
Recharge provides all merchants with access to key store analytics that help you understand revenue trends, analyze how customers are interacting with their subscriptions, and compare your key performance indicators over a specific time period.
Before you start
- Data displayed in Recharge Analytics is refreshed daily by 8 AM ET, regardless of your time zone.
- To access Analytics, ensure your account has both Analytics and Home permissions enabled.
Overview
Recharge provides both dashboards and reports to help you analyze subscription performance.
- Dashboards show high-level trends across your key metrics. Use them to monitor performance and quickly identify changes over time.
- Reports provide the underlying records behind those metrics. Use them to investigate KPI changes, validate growth drivers, and export detailed data for deeper analysis.
Together, dashboards and reports help you move from high-level trends to detailed performance insights.

Considerations
Consider the following when using Recharge Analytics:
Consideration |
Notes |
| Prepaid subscriptions | Prepaid subscriptions are marked as cancelled subscriptions when they are cancelled, even if they have future shipment orders. Recharge also marks prepaid subscriptions that expire after a set number of purchases as canceled once the final charge processes. Reporting currently shows customers with ongoing prepaid shipments as having no active subscriptions. |
| Gift card purchases | Standard Recharge Analytics doesn't filter out gift card purchases. This can lead to double-counting if you use Rise.ai to sell gift cards. You must manually reconcile between Recharge Analytics and your ecommerce platform, or filter out the gift card SKUs on the Enhanced Analytics Subscriptions dashboard. |
| Bundles |
There are a few considerations when viewing store analytics for bundles:
|
| Historical data | You can access up to three years of your store data through the Analytics dashboards. |
| Analytics consent |
Recharge respects the analytics consent set by Shopify's native privacy banner. If a customer declines analytics tracking, the Recharge pixel does not fire and their activity is excluded from subscription widget and cart performance metrics. In regions where Shopify's privacy banner is not shown, analytics collection remains unchanged. If you use a third-party consent management platform (CMP), it must send consent signals to Shopify using the window.Shopify.customer Privacy API for tracking to work correctly. |
